This Hamptons-inspired Berwick residence was transformed through a contemporary renovation designed by Austin Design. The completed home brings together classic detailing and modern functionality to create a comfortable and refined environment for family living.
At the heart of the home is a kitchen featuring warm woodgrain cabinetry, granite benchtops, generous cupboard and drawer storage, a walk-in pantry and a benchtop herb garden. The kitchen opens into an expansive living area with a gas log fire, creating a warm and inviting space for everyday living and family gatherings.
A dedicated media room with overhead speakers provides a separate space for movies and music. Beneath the staircase, a concealed home office and study is accessed through a sliding barn door, making practical use of the available space.
Upstairs, the loft bedrooms were redesigned as separate teenage retreats, providing greater privacy and comfort for the family’s younger residents. Throughout the home, the renovation combines Hamptons-inspired character with contemporary materials, practical spaces and modern family functionality.
